Quito, March 22, 2022.- The Automotive and Annexes Network commemorated World Down Syndrome Day where young people with this condition painted on a car. The BAIC X35 model was the canvas for the artistic expressions of the young members of the “Edgar Palacios” Foundation.

With the aim of generating greater public awareness about their rights and raising awareness of the opportunities that all people with disabilities and their families have, La Red Automotores y Annexes together with its Allied with the “Edgar Palacios” Foundation, they organized a new painting exhibition on one of their cars.

10 young people with this condition painted on the BAIC in Quito.

To achieve this challenge, art teacher Erik Raza intervened, who has already worked with young people in several painting workshops through the Foundation. The teacher carried out several painting tests, planned the work in sections that he will implement with the idea of helping his music not stop. It is worth mentioning that the young people, in addition to demonstrating their painting skills, are musicians who make up the Symphony Orchestra, directed by Maestro Edgar Palacios.

The event was loaded with music performed live by Maestro Edgar Palacios and a group of young people with disabilities. Likewise, Henry Feng, BAIC International Country Manager who was visiting the country, highlighted the work and value of people with this condition.

The Automotive and Annexes Network supports the Foundation and its SINAMUNE project, through its campaign “help us so that their music doesn't stop” where for each Test Drive that clients perform, one of the products that the foundation produces is delivered.
